Meet Our Experienced Team

 

At our core, we are a team of accomplished professionals driven by excellence, innovation, and dedication to the power industry. With diverse backgrounds and a shared passion for shaping the future of energy, we bring a wealth of expertise to the table. Allow us to introduce our key team members:

Robert Bowling

  With 40+ years in the power sector, Robert has a proven track record of expertise and leadership.

 

Beginning his journey as a Carpenter at Salt River Project (SRP), an Arizona-based Utility Company, Robert transitioned to Journeyman Millwright,

Maintenance Foreman, and ultimately, the Turbine Deck Outage Supervisor, managing the upkeep of three 810 MW Supercritical Fossil Units. Robert's

later role was Training Supervisor at SRP where he designed and implemented comprehensive apprenticeship programs.

 

Robert then moved to the solar sector and spent 10 years at First Solar as the Sr Manager of Global Technical Training. Here, Robert managed the development and delivery of EPC Technical Training and Site O&M training worldwide, extending his reach to over 100 PV sites spanning 5 continents.

 

 At Fluence, Robert was the Senior Global Training Manager, developing and teaching O&M training at Fluence, which built BESS systems globally.


Most recently, Robert was SunPower's Senior Manager of Application Engineering, where he headed analytical and field quality teams.


Robert has a bachelor's degree from DePaul University, and a master's degree from Seton Hall University, and Arizona State University.


Robert remains an active participant in shaping solar energy education, as a founding Board Member of Arizona State University's Solar Energy Engineering

and Commercialization graduate program.

 

Tim Kelly

  Tim Kelly brings 23 years of service in the Air Force. Tim is known for his planning, directing, and implementing complex projects. Tim's skill set includes efficiency-focused strategies.

 

  Tim has supported the development of effective leadership programs, having mentored thousands of supervisors in successful leadership roles. His knowledge of detailed procedures and regulatory compliance complements his role within SSG.


  With academic excellence in Workforce Education and Development and a master's degree in Human Resources Development, Tim brings a unique blend of experience and learning to every endeavor.

 

 

Mike Hull

  Mike Hull is an industry veteran with 41+ years' of experience in the Power Industry. Stationed at Navajo Generating Station in Page, Arizona, Mike provided expertise in operations training,  curriculum development, and performance management.


 Mike and his team developed detailed startup and shutdown procedures for control room operators to support consistency and quality for continuous 24x7 operations of three 800 MW units and associated equipment.


   Mike also managed the SRP/NGS NERC-CIP compliance program with two "no findings" v5 audits. In the last decade of his career, Mike was responsible for DCS, Mechanical Engineering, and NERC compliance and rounded out the last 3 years as the decommissioning lead to restore the site to its original condition. 


  Mike has a bachelor's degree in Business Management and currently works as a Reliability Manager consulting for Shermco Industries.
